What's to Come...

Wow. What a journey this whole experience has been for me thus far. I have enjoyed my time immensely and feel as though I'm using it wisely, exactly as I intended to do so.

So far, I've pretty much been writing about why I'm down here, being down here, and generally what I'm doing in life during this time. So I thought I would write a blog about what I expect to come in the future. What my plans are. What my goals are. I came down here partly to figure out myself and what I want out of life. Well, happy to say, I've made some progress in that way. Everyone has different goals and ambitions in life. Everyone has a different purpose in life. And no one else can tell you what your purpose is. You have to figure that out on your own.

What moves you?

What drives you?

What makes you feel excited, passionate?

I've always generally felt this way about "the meaning of life" in a sense, that there is no one meaning and it varies from person to person. I recently watched a video from the same series on YouTube that I've been watching as part of my self-actualization process, and this particular video is very short and about the purpose of life. I'll include the link in this post. But I love watching his videos sometimes because it really challenges my way of thinking, and I love that. This video in particular, however, I loved because it only confirmed everything I've already thought about the purpose of life. And I do understand the guy doing the videos, Leo, is just one man and everything he says is not the all and be all of life. I don't take everything he says as 100% truth, but it's definitely reassuring to see this video and feel it's exactly how I've always thought about such a deep topic!

Essentially he says what I just stated above... that your purpose is just that: YOUR purpose. So what is that then? Well, figure it out and then go after it!

If you feel like your purpose in life is to be married and raise children, then that's what it is!

If you feel like your purpose is to be the most successful doctor, lawyer, CEO there is, then that's it!

Go do it!

There's an unlimited amount of possibilities in regards to what someone feels like their purpose could be.

Do you know yours? I would LOVE to hear about it. I know mine!

I don't want to have children; I don't feel as though that would fulfill me in any way.

I don't have any career aspiration. Money doesn't excite me. I don't care to make 6 figures, to be a millionaire, to be the most famous anything.

My purpose is to travel.

My purpose is to adventure.

My purpose is to gain experience, wisdom, and culture.

THAT excites me. THAT entices me. That make me feel motivated.

This, of course, is my individual selfish purpose. In my opinion, we all have, as a part of our purpose in life, a responsibility of service. A responsibility to help others, help our community, help our environment. I have my own volunteer work that I do on a weekly basis. This post, however, is focused on my individual purpose, dreams, and goals for my future.

So I've made a plan. I've made goals. I've gotten excited about what my future holds.

And I want to do more than just travel as a vacation. I want to EXPERIENCE. I feel the best way to do this is to live. Live everywhere. So that's my plan. I want to pick different places, both domestic and international, and live there for (x) amount of time. However long I want. Maybe a year. Maybe 5 years. We'll just play it by ear. I don't have a set list of places, and I don't know where I'm going to start, but I know that is what the rest of my life is going to be. I know that will make me feel like I've done exactly what I want to do.

How do I get there? Well, I have a start to my plan. First and foremost, save money. Obviously. I want to continue saving in my investment account, as well as in regular savings accounts, of which I have two. One of them, I'm saving just to have enough money set aside, in case needed, to be comfortable starting my traveling journey. The other savings account is specifically to purchase a condo. I want to purchase a condo somewhere in the general vicinity of where I'm living now. Once I buy it, the plan is to use it for Airbnb. For a while, all of the income I make from that will go towards paying down the mortgage as quickly as possible. That way, the profits will be 100% (minus management and cleaning fees of course) much faster. I want this so I will have passive income coming in regardless of where I'm living.

Secondly, I'll need job security wherever I go. I would love to be able to have a full time, full earning, online job, such as with fitness or blogging. However, I'm not even sure where to start with that! So what I've done is acquired a job with a company that is worldwide. This particular company is located in 122 countries. You know what that means? Endless transfer possibilities! I will be here in Jacksonville at least for a few years while saving for the condo and such, and that gives me enough time to prove my work ethic and value to the company, so it should be easy peezy lemon squeezy to transfer down the road.

This is the start to my plans. This is what I've figured out about my future and these are the goals I've made in my six months of being down here. I definitely feel like I'm in a good starting place and I'm so so excited for what the future holds. I feel as though doing what I want to do is a dream come true. I'm looking so forward to taking the steps I need to make that happen. I want to have fun while I'm here, but I also want to stay focused. I have things to do, goals to achieve, places to go. I can't get caught up in the day to day and forget about that.

Make goals. And look at them every day.

Find your purpose. Then go out there and fulfill it!
